Blogging about Blogging

So I am thinking that I really need to be more regular about this. I feel like half the time I don't have anything to blog about because I don't have a family (with kids) and there are few really exciting things that happen in my life. Which really isn't true. I guess I just need to pay attention more and be excited about the small things. And I need to use my camera more to capture my life.

So here is a list of some exciting things that have happened over the past month that I have neglected to blog about:

1. We (ken and I and another couple) went to go see the Broadway show, "Wicked" in Chicago at the end of August. It was AMAZING!

2. I started an aerobic workout class that meets once a week. I love it.

3. I successfully survived a high school youth group kick off retreat in September. There were 46 students and 9 adults and we had an amazing time. I got to meet most of the youth group- and they are an amazing bunch of students.

4. Ken and I joined a small group Bible Study with a group from our new church. We are really loving the opportunity to get to know these people.

5. Ken preached his first sermon at our new church. (Which will now be a regular, once a month occurrence). He preached on the first chapter in Ruth. He did an amazing job- I was so proud of him!

Exciting things that I am looking forward to in the next few months:

1. In a week we are heading down to Mississippi for a week long mission trip with a group from church.

2. In a month Ken and I are heading to Nashville for 5 days to attend the National Youth Workers Convention. This will be my 3rd convention in a row. I really look forward to these.

3. Sometime in the next month or two my parents will be coming here for about a week to visit from NJ. Last time I saw them was in July, so this will be nice.

4. In December we will be going to NJ for a week to visit for Christmas. I am really looking forward to spending the holiday and seeing my sister.

So there it is: My life in a list.

The end that leads to a beginning.

It's almost September. That means everything starts and life gets a little more hectic. The funny thing is- I love summer. But at the end of summer I am so ready for a regular schedule to begin. And then in May of next year- I am dying for summer.

I love having my husband home again. Love it. It's been weird getting used to living with someone again. I am really excited about our future together. I really know that God has some great thigns in store for us.

K comes home tomorrow. Finally. I get to pick him up at the bus station in the morning. I am so excited to have him around again.

Today I am going to K's grandparent's house. There is a small get together there because A's baby was baptized today. Should be interesting.

I was thinking about my wedding today. I loved planning my wedding, and I loved the actual day! I wish i could re-live that day all over again. I was so happy. It really was the best day of my entire life.

It's the weekend. Finally.

I worked today, and was pretty productive if I do say so myself. I am trying hard to be creative. Hopefully it's working.

Next, I picked up a few things at BBB, but only to find out that the majority of them did not work out. So tomorrow I will have to return them. I also vacuumed every room in the house. And did tons of cleaning.

Why am I doing all this you ask? Because my husband is coming home after a being away for 70 days on an internship. So I want our house to be nice.

I realized today that lists are a necessity for me. I live for lists. I write lists about everything. I write things on my lists that I have already done just so I can cross them out. I am addicted to lists. The funny thing is that 5 years ago, I would never have considered myself to be organized. I definitely would not have written lists.

All that to say that my worst fear is coming true. I am turning into my mother.
